Preparation:

Preparing piadina with cooked ham and guacamole is very simple!

Guacamole is a creamy avocado-based dip that has conquered the palates of many people around the world. Preparing it is simple: just divide the avocado in half and scoop out the pulp with a spoon, then mash it with a fork until you get a cream. Then finely chop the fresh white onion, garlic, chilli pepper and fresh tomato and add them to the avocado. Mix everything well, add two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the juice of half a lemon and a pinch of salt and pepper and the guacamole sauce is ready! The result is a fresh, healthy and delicious sauce that can be used as a condiment for nachos, tacos, fajitas, or as an accompaniment to meat or fish dishes. Rich in unsaturated fats, vitamins and antioxidants, guacamole is a great choice for anyone looking for a healthy alternative to industrial dressings. In this recipe we use it to prepare delicious fresh wraps.

Piadine are a typical dish of Romagna cuisine, but now widespread throughout Italy. You can buy them ready-made in supermarkets, fresh or from the fridge and they are available in different variations and sizes. Now all that remains is to prepare the wraps: place a slice of cooked ham on top of each wrap and spread a generous dose of guacamole on top. Roll up the flatbread and cut in half and top with more guacamole dip. Serve it cold and enjoy the goodness of this quick-to-prepare delicacy.

And to complete the meal in a delicious way, don’t forget to accompany the piadina with a fresh and fragrant white wine such as a dutiful dry Romagna Albana or a Bianco Capena del Lazio. These wines, with their floral notes, combine perfectly with piadina, creating a pleasant symphony of flavours.

Enjoy your meal!
