This recipe is linked to my youthful memories, when I returned from a trip and my mother, always attentive to the well-being of her children, prepared a pan of this inviting dish for me. Hungry from the holidays, I inevitably ate it without leaving any for others.
For me, this recipe represents not only the taste and tradition of Italian cuisine, but also the warmth and affection of my family. Every time I prepare stuffed zucchini, I feel like I’m rediscovering a piece of my childhood and getting closer to those emotions of happiness and security that only home and family can give. The recipe for stuffed zucchini is a classic of Italian cuisine, handed down for generations and adapted to every region of the country. Indeed, in every family, the recipe may vary slightly, but the end result is always the same: a dish full of flavor and substance.

The preparation of courgettes stuffed with meat with melted cheese is a versatile dish suitable for different occasions, from family dinners to dinners with friends. Furthermore, it is also an excellent solution for using zucchini in a creative and tasty way.

The recipe for zucchini stuffed with meat with melted cheese is a delicious and easy to prepare dish. To start, you need to cut the zucchini in half, scoop out the insides and set the pulp aside. Subsequently, the pulp is used to create the mixture with the minced meat, the egg, the fresh cheese, the breadcrumbs, the eggs, the onion, the salt and the pepper, mixing carefully until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. At this stage, the zucchini halves are filled with the filling.

To prepare this dish, you can use different types of meat, such as beef, pork, chicken or turkey. Furthermore, the type of cheese can also be varied, for example using grated or melted cheese, according to one’s tastes and availability.

In addition, other vegetables can also be added, such as peppers, tomatoes or aubergines, to further enrich the flavor and texture of the stuffed zucchini.

To give a crunchiness to the surface of stuffed zucchini, it is advisable to add some breadcrumbs on top, while to enrich the flavor you can add a few cubes of fresh cheese which melt during cooking.

Subsequently, the stuffed courgettes are placed in a pan previously oiled or lined with baking paper and cooked in the oven at 200°C for about 45 minutes, until the surface is golden brown and browned and the inside of the courgettes is well cooked and succulent.

Once cooked, the stuffed courgettes must be left to cool slightly before being served as a second course. The combination of flavours, with the savory ground beef, cream cheese and sweetness of the golden onion, make this a hearty and satisfying dish for the palate.

To accompany the stuffed courgettes, it is recommended to combine a full-bodied red wine, such as a Chianti Superiore from Tuscany or an Etna Rosso from Sicily, which go perfectly with the intense flavors of the courgettes stuffed with meat and cheese.

In conclusion, zucchini stuffed with meat with melted cheese is an easy to prepare and versatile recipe that can be adapted to your tastes and needs. All that remains is to try it and delight yourself with its intense and tasty flavours.

Enjoy your meal!
