Ingredients for 4 people:
  • 4 peppers
  • half kg. of mixed minced pork and beef
  • half a white onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g. of breadcrumbs
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation:

Peppers stuffed with meat are a hearty and delicious second course, ideal for a family dinner or for special guests.

To prepare the peppers stuffed with meat, start by washing the peppers thoroughly and cutting them in half lengthwise, then remove the seeds and internal filaments.

Next, we prepare a delicious mixture by mixing the minced meat with the breadcrumbs, eggs, finely chopped onion and salt and pepper to taste. We mix all the ingredients until we obtain a homogeneous and tasty consistency.

At this stage, we fill the halves of the peppers with the prepared dough, trying to distribute it evenly. We add a little breadcrumbs on the surface of the peppers to give them an extra touch of crunch.

Then, we place the peppers filled in a pan previously oiled or lined with baking paper to prevent them from sticking. Put everything in the oven at 200°C and let it cook for about 45 minutes, or until the surface of the peppers is browned and golden and the inside is well cooked.

Finally, once cooked, we can take our delicious stuffed peppers out of the oven and serve them warm, ready to be enjoyed in all their goodness.
