Scallops with orange sauce are a tasty and versatile dish, perfect for a dinner with friends or for a special lunch. It is a typical dish of Italian cuisine, which combines the delicate flavor of scallops with the intense aroma of oranges, creating an irresistible combination of flavours.

The preparation of scallops with orange sauce is quite simple and quick, but the end result is truly surprising: the soft and succulent slices of meat blend with the orange sauce, creating a perfect balance between sweet and savoury.

In this recipe, I’ll show you how to prepare scallops with orange sauce quickly and easily, using simple but quality ingredients. With just a few steps, you can create a delicious and refined dish that will leave all your guests speechless.

Take an orange and cut it in half using a knife and slice two slices to garnish the dish. Squeeze the rest of the orange and keep the juice aside.

Take a container suitable for holding the slices of pork and put them inside. Add half the orange juice and leave to marinate for an hour. Once the time has elapsed, drain the slices and eliminate the excess juice.

Place a skillet on the stove and let it heat up over medium heat. Add a little extra virgin olive oil to the pan and let it heat up for a few seconds.

Take the slices of pork that you had marinated in the orange juice and pass them in the flour to cover them completely. Put the floured slices in the hot oil and let them brown for a few minutes on both sides.

Add the previously squeezed orange juice to the pan and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste and let the sauce thicken for a few minutes.

Once the sauce has thickened, serve the pork escalopes hot and garnish them with the previously cut orange slices.

To enhance the flavor of the freshly prepared orange-based dish, I suggest you combine it with a fresh and light white wine such as a Vermentino or a Verdicchio to fully enjoy the combination of flavors and aromas.

Enjoy your meal!
