Ingredients for 4 people:
  • 4 slices of beef or horse
  • 2 gravy tomatoes or peeled tomatoes
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • origan
  • capers in salt
  • pepper
  • salt

Preparation:

This is an excellent, very simple recipe that adapts perfectly to not too soft meats. To prepare it, use a large frying pan with a lid, start by making a delicious sauce with high quality extra virgin olive oil, finely chopped garlic, ripe and chopped tomatoes, plenty of fragrant oregano, salted capers for a touch of flavour, salt and pepper to taste.

Then add the thin slices of meat and let them cook with the lid on over low heat for at least 25 minutes, turning them occasionally to ensure that they are well soaked in the flavors of the sauce. The scent that will spread in the kitchen will be simply irresistible.

Once ready, serve this delicacy piping hot, perhaps accompanying it with toasted homemade bread that goes perfectly with the Mediterranean flavors of this dish. To complete everything with a touch of elegance, I recommend pairing a quality red wine, such as a Monica di Sardegna, with its intense and enveloping aroma of myrtle or a Sangiovese di Romagna with its cherry fragrances that will integrate harmoniously with the scent of the capers and the taste of the sauce and the meat.

A real treat for the senses that will make you travel through the tastes and aromas of traditional Italian cuisine.

Enjoy your meal!
