Ingredients for 2 people:
  • 2 slices of pork
  • a drop of lemon
  • 2 slices of fontina or other stringy cheese
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation:

Today I want to share with you a simple, quick and tasty method to cook slices of pork. Let’s start: take a large pan with a lid and pour a little extra virgin olive oil. Heat it over medium heat and when it is hot, add the slices of pork. Let them simmer for about 5 minutes, turning them a couple of times to cook evenly.

Once the slices are golden and cooked, add a pinch of salt and pepper, squeeze a few drops of lemon and let it evaporate. This will give a touch of freshness and acidity to your preparation.

At this point, take some slices of fontina cheese and place them on top of the pork slices. Close the pan with the lid and cook over low heat for another 3 minutes. In this way, the cheese will melt and flavor together with the meat.

Finally, serve your slices of pork with the still hot fontina cheese and enjoy this tasty and quick to prepare dish. You can accompany it all with a side dish of fresh seasonal vegetables.

To enhance the gastronomic experience of pork slices with melted cheese, it is advisable to choose an intense and decisive red wine, such as a Morellino di Scansano from Tuscany or a Monica from Sardinia. These wines evoke the fragrances of wild berries, which combine beautifully with the flavors of pork slices with melted cheese.

Enjoy your meal!
