Ingredients for 4 people:
  • one kg. of pork nuggets (in addition to pork there can also be turkey and chicken nuggets) cut into 4 cm cubes
  • fresh pork sausage
  • slices of bacon 2 mm thick
  • a red pepper
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation:

Proceed first by cleaning and cutting the pepper, making 4×4 cm pieces. Subsequently, also cut the fresh sausage and the meat pulp into 4 cm bitesize pieces. Once you have prepared the meat, thread the morsels onto the 25/30 cm skewers, alternating the various types of meat with the sausage, the pieces of pepper and the bacon, also cut into 4×4 cm pieces.

For cooking you can use a plate or you can cook them on the grill on a grill to obtain perfect cooking. Start by heating the plate well or preparing the embers, then place the pieces of meat on the plate or on the grill, adjusting the amount of salt and pepper according to your tastes.

Let the meat cook until a golden crust forms on the surface, then turn it over to cook the other side as well. Be sure to check the degree of doneness you want, based on your personal preferences. Once cooked, you can serve the pieces of meat hot as a delicious second course, perhaps accompanied by side dishes of grilled vegetables or roasted potatoes. However, if you prefer, you can also leave the pieces of meat to cool and offer them as a tasty cold appetizer. Either way, your guests are sure to be thrilled to enjoy these home-cooked treats, whether they’re served hot or cold.

To harmoniously complete this tasty dish, I suggest you accompany it with an aromatic and intense red wine such as a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo or a Carignano del Sulcis, which go perfectly with the fragrance of the meat and pepper.

Enjoy your meal!
