Ham and aubergine tostadas recipe
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 8 slices of homemade bread
- 2 mozzarella
- 150 g. of raw ham
- two eggplants
- extra virgin olive oil
- a clove of garlic
- Origan
- basil
- salt
- pepper
Preparation:
To prepare the delicious Ham and Aubergine Tostadas, follow these simple steps which will lead you to an explosion of flavours. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees to ensure it is piping hot when it comes time to bake your tostadas. This will guarantee perfect cooking and make your tostadas crunchy and delicious. Take some slices of homemade bread and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, in order to facilitate subsequent cleaning and ensure uniform cooking. Brown the slices of bread on both sides until they are crunchy and fragrant.
Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the tostada filling. Take some fresh mozzarella and chop it finely to obtain soft morsels that will melt perfectly on your tostada. Then, in a pan, fry the diced aubergines in extra virgin olive oil, adding basil and minced garlic, oregano, salt and pepper to enhance the flavours.
Once the slices of bread are golden brown, you can start adding the ingredients that will give your Ham and Aubergine Tostadas all their unique taste. Start with the cooked aubergines, which will add an aromatic note to your dish. Then add the raw ham, which will give an intense and saline flavour, and the minced mozzarella, which will melt delicately on the tostada. A pinch of oregano will give an aromatic and spicy touch, while salt and pepper will season everything to taste, balancing the flavours.
Bake the tostadas in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until the mozzarella is melted and stringy, creating an incredible harmony of flavors and textures.
When your Tostadas with ham and aubergines are ready, take them out of the oven and serve them still hot, garnishing with a few leaves of fresh basil to give a final touch of freshness.
Pair them with a fragrant and lively white wine such as a Pinot Grigio from Veneto or with Verdicchio delle Marche, a drier white wine, both suitable for combining with the spicy fragrances of ham and aubergine tostada, to fully enjoy this delicious dish .
Enjoy your meal!
