Ingredients for 4 people:
  • 8 slices of homemade bread
  • 100 g. of sliced raw ham
  • 50 g. of asparagus
  • 100 g. thinly sliced fontina
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation:

First of all, make sure that the oven is hot and ready to bake your delicious tostadas by bringing it to a temperature of 220 degrees Celsius.

Take some succulent slices of homemade bread and place them carefully on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, to ensure even cooking and trouble-free cleaning later.

Once you’ve arranged your slices of bread, let the oven work its magic and transform them into crunchy goodness on both sides. When they are golden and fragrant, it will finally be time to add the ingredients that will make your Ham and Asparagus Tostadas a masterpiece of unique flavours.

Carefully turn the slices of golden bread and place on each of them a tasty slice of ham, a delicate slice of fontina cheese, two asparagus tips and a splash of extra virgin olive oil, a light sprinkling of salt and a pinch of pepper fresh. You will see how the fontina cheese will slowly melt, creating a delicious and creamy topping for your tostadas.

Once you have completed the preparation, all you have to do is enjoy these delicacies. Accompany them with a fresh and sparkling white wine, such as a Lambrusco from Emilia, with its fragrant and fruity aromas, or a Muller Thurgau from South Tyrol, to enhance the fragrant aromas of the tostadas.
